I was seriously motivated to update this blog today with further news that my back was not yelling at me again.
Since I started healthyizing on Feb 23, 2023, my back has been encouragingly silent. At least after the 4th day of the journey. I have been hopeful that it would stay silent and I planned today to post more about the journey, the diet, the changes, the effects and all that blather.
Instead; starting yesterday about noon, my back woke up and started talking. By dinnertime it was yelling. And around midnight it took to screaming and twirling and spreading hot ashes from the campfire into my bed. Really, it did.
I took some Alieve, but I don’t bAlieve, it rAlieved anything and the screaming continued into this morning.
I ate something, had a cup of coffee and instead of screaming my back settled for yelling.
Therefore; I’m up and about and I’m going to pretend I hear nothing and try to go about the day as if I don’t have this branding iron that yells very loudly on my back.
I’m very discouraged.
More to come.
Update #2 for today:
I’ll be very very delicate here.
I pooped.
This is a normal thing that most people do occasionally. What makes this post worthy is that immediately after the blessed event, my back stopped yelling and just started chatting in the background.
Anyone with info as to why that would be the case either join me in celebrating, or let me know what the correlation might be.
Based on this correlation – I highly recommend pooping.
And another thing.
Yesterday my heart rate was elevated.
120bpm resting is usually only reserved for when my wife is in the room, but she wasn’t there.
My normal resting rate is around 60 or less.
Yesterday it stayed at 70-80 for most of the day.
Today it is 54. After pooping.
I listened to a Dr. Berg video and he suggested that while fasting the heart rate can elevate due to electrolyte deficiency.
I’ve been adding extra Mediterranian salt to my once-per-day meal of meat, but apparently that may not be sufficient.
Therefore; I have started a glass of LMNT Electrolyte Mix. My daughter Brittany has been recommending this for some time.
We’ll see how it goes.
